NEW BOUTIQUE UPDATES

Hello!!! friends, I hope everyone is doing well.  I have new updates from my boutique (Vella Nest). You all know that I paint and restore furniture to resale. I like to use creams, blues, greens, whites, and creams. These are the same colors that I use in my house. I want to use lots of distressed and weathered pieces to add more charm to my boutique this year.  I decided  to duplicate my home decor at my boutique at  The shoppes at Brownstone Village in Arlington, mixing  the new with the old.  I've been busy with the boutique project and also with two new decorating jobs.
I'm happy to finally share some pictures with you. I brought new pieces of furniture this past weekend.

Happy Thursday!!! ;0)

BEFORE AND AFTER

I know  I have have neglected my blog recently.  I have been busy with clients and working with the  expansion and remodeling on the boutique in Brownstone village.  This past month of February was crazy. A good crazy though.  My parents were visiting from South America, I had two decorating contracts with two wonderful clients and also I was informed that I will be getting more space for my boutique. I can't believe all these things are happening. I am very grateful.  Here are some before and
after pictures from one of the decorating jobs. I had so much fun with this job.  My client has so beautiful antique pictures, plates, mirrors, old frames and so much that I used.  I re-upholstered and re- purposed some of the furniture that she all ready had. We had to make the area pet friendly because she has a cute dog that loves to jump on the furniture. We did some shopping for accessories and inexpensive rugs for the room having in mind a little friend, Elvis ( the dog). With a little TLC we updated the entertainment hutch. We replaced the white ceiling fan for a fun chandelier and we re-arranged the furniture to be able to use the entire room. One area to watch TV and the other to visit with friends.  We used the same color pallet and different fabrics all around the same room.  I love the way it turned out and we stayed on budget.

VINTAGE!!

I find it absolutely amazing how trends in home fashion change.  These days it is so popular to use a combination of vintage items mixed with  new,  What I really  mean is  the vintage look is  now the new look.  I personally love to recycle and  give a new life to a piece of  furniture with paint or fabric. This concept has worked great for my business at The Shoppes at Brownstone Village. The  mix creates a  great patina with a combination of new accessories.  This also applies to my own home having two children and two dogs that love to touch and jump on the furniture. I  don't get stressed.,  The more chipped it gets the better. It is so amazing how many compliments  you will receive from your friends when they see these items around your house. Here are some creative vintage items displayed in each room that I found for you.

Vintage Frame over the mantel

My favorite room in the house is the kitchen!  Is were we get together the most and sometimes were we fix a cake with the kids......I love the neutral tone on tone on these kitchen's they are cozy and welcoming each one has that personal touche the makes each kitchen unique and different.
Hopefully they will inspire! and give you the motivation to add that unique touch to your kitchen.
