I know I have have neglected my blog recently. I have been busy with
clients and working with the expansion and remodeling on the boutique
in Brownstone village. This past month of February was crazy. A good
crazy though. My parents were visiting from South America, I had two
decorating contracts with two wonderful clients and also I was informed
that I will be getting more space for my boutique. I can't believe all
these things are happening. I am very grateful. Here are some before
and
after pictures from one of the decorating jobs. I had so much fun with this job. My client has so beautiful antique pictures, plates, mirrors, old frames and so much that I used. I re-upholstered and re- purposed some of the furniture that she all ready had. We had to make the area pet friendly because she has a cute dog that loves to jump on the furniture. We did some shopping for accessories and inexpensive rugs for the room having in mind a little friend, Elvis ( the dog). With a little TLC we updated the entertainment hutch. We replaced the white ceiling fan for a fun chandelier and we re-arranged the furniture to be able to use the entire room. One area to watch TV and the other to visit with friends. We used the same color pallet and different fabrics all around the same room. I love the way it turned out and we stayed on budget.
